Cumbria's Ancient Woodlands

Cumbria’s Ancient Woodlands

Join Graham Watson & Jamie Chaplin-Bryce to discover Cumbria’s ancient woodlands and ancient woodland restoration.
There will also be a general overview of what Cumbria Woodlands does, the opportunities for woodland creation and management in Cumbria and the benefits that this brings.

Cumbria Woodlands is not-for-profit
Our Woodland Advisory Service exists to support landowners and land managers looking to create or manage woodland within Cumbria. Advocating, demonstrating and advising on woodland management has been at the very core of Cumbria Woodland’s mission for over 30 years. Our expertise combines knowledge of woodland management with a deep understanding of the Cumbrian landscape, environment and heritage.  The advisory service can offer information on all grants and funding available for woodland management and creation, including the Cumbria Coastal Community Forest.
Cumbria Woodlands can offer advice on issues that landowners and farmers are currently facing, including grants advice, ash dieback disease, storm damage, woodland creation and natural flood management, along with a range of online training courses and in person events focused on specific topics.
